Meet the Doctor
Dr. Jennifer L. Thompson
Dr. Jennifer L. Thompson is a native of Colorado. She grew up in Colorado Springs and received her BS in biology and DDS degrees from The Ohio State University. After attending a one-year General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in Denver, Colorado, and two years of general practice focused on pediatrics, Dr. Jenn began her formal training in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Jenn received her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from Temple University Hospital. She was selected as Chief Resident during her second year and received the Richard C. Pugh Award for scoring in the top 3% of the national written board exam. In September 2011, she passed her oral boards and is now a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Licensed to practice in Colorado, Dr. Jenn is Board Certified by The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She holds her Moderate Sedation License by the State of Colorado and has attending privileges at Children’s Hospital Colorado . She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), American Dental Association (ADA), Colorado Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (CAPD), Colorado Dental Association (CDA) and the Metro Denver Dental Society (MDDS).
Dr. Jenn is a board member for the Colorado non-profit Kids in Need of Dentistry. KIND provides affordable dental care and education to Colorado’s children in need. Dr. Jenn is chairman of the operations committee and helps with the KIND dental clinics in the Denver Metro area. She also serves on the Community Outreach and PR Committee for MDDS (Metro Denver Dental Society).
Her true passion is giving back to those in need and volunteers her time and resources to Dental Lifeline Network, 9News Health Fair, Colorado Mission of Mercy (COMOM), Give Kids a Smile Day, and Smile for a Lifetime.
Dr. Jenn is an ardent sports fan (Go Broncos!) – especially football and tennis. She enjoys traveling our country and the world to explore different cultures. She loves the outdoors and is an avid hiker and skier and also enjoys cooking.
